About this place
Natto fans may be drawn to the natto okonomiyaki at Hot Shot. One diner said the natto added a soft, fluffy texture and went well with pork, kimchi and cheese. The same diner singled out the soba-filled mambo-yaki, which they described as generously packed with large-cut hoso. The menu also includes pork okonomiyaki, other okonomiyaki, yakisoba and soba-meshi, giving diners a choice between flour-based dishes and noodles.
Teppanyaki dishes make good snacks while you wait for a main course. One visitor enjoyed tonpei and scallops with butter; another described the gyoza as bite-sized and praised the mochi with cheese. The menu also lists tonpei, scallops with butter, grilled gyoza and mochi with cheese. Another diner enjoyed squid, rolled omelette and scallops with chilled sake. Whether settling in for a full meal or stopping by for a drink and a few dishes from the teppan, there is room to put together a meal to suit the occasion.
This teppanyaki restaurant is in Honryusui-cho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto. Beer, sake and other alcoholic drinks are available. Alongside its standard soba-meshi, the menu offers curry-flavoured, kimchi and omelette-topped versions, making the final choice of a rice-and-noodle dish part of the fun.
